The Advisory Group membership includes representatives of Victoria’s leading residential development and community housing peak bodies, private and not-for-profit development and financing organisations, planning and design advisors.
Members share the view that Affordable Housing is essential to Victoria’s productivity and liveability, and that greater focus and investment by governments in partnership with the development industry and not-for-profit housing sector is required to increase the supply of Affordable Housing.
Membership is open to property developers, housing agencies, financiers, and industry advisers that are involved in the delivery of residential housing in Victoria.
The Advisory Group is supported by Affordable Development Outcomes.

MEMBERSHIP
The Advisory Group works together to highlight key requirements, opportunities, considerations and
potential barriers to industry participation in an Affordable Housing system.
The Group aims to achieve its objectives by:
- Investigating and analysing Affordable Housing delivery and financing options and providing advice to
governments on the range of industry views and requirements to co-invest in Affordable Housing delivery in Victoria. - Supporting the capacity of the residential development industry to work together through the sharing of knowledge and experience to inform the development and delivery of Affordable Housing policies and partnerships.
- Advocating for an increase government investment and the establishment of frameworks that support
industry action to co-invest, deliver and manage Affordable Housing. - Pursuing opportunities to engage with the State Government to increase their understanding of how the private
and not-for-profit residential development sectors operate; the economic factors and conditions that underpin
affordable housing delivery; and the policy, financial and market conditions the industry requires to successfully
support the delivery of affordable and diverse housing outcomes under different policy approaches. - Pursuing opportunities to input into and inform the State Government’s development of land use planning
approaches to facilitate Affordable Housing to ensure any models are viable and sustainable in the long-term. - Seeking to engage with other key stakeholders as deemed appropriate and necessary in regard to the work program objectives.
